Welcome to the web site of the Aberdyfi Advertising & Improvements Committee

AA&I Committee help to finance events, projects and maintenance in the village of Aberdyfi on the west coast of Wales.
We are a not for profit organisation, run by unpaid volunteers, all with a passion for our lovely village.  We discuss and evaluate all requests for donations but always ensure that no individual or business profits from the funding, it must be for a purpose that benefits everyone.

What a resident said about AA&I

"I never thought about who pays for all these things. I always assumed it was Gwynedd Council but now I appreciate it is done by local volunteers and paid for with money they raise.  Thank you AA&I for all you do for the village."
Literary Institute
The Literary Institute has a reading room, games room and houses the Council Office. It is regularly used as the venue for local meetings. AA&I paid for a complete electrical rewire and fire alarm system to bring the Institute up to modern standards.

Defibrillators
AA&I paid for the installation of several defibrillators around the village and regularly checks them. We also pay for replacement of pads when they have been used. The pads can only be used once.
